Palermo FC and the Municipality of Torretta will collaborate to ensure a virtuous social impact on the area where the new Rosanero Sports Center is about to be built. Thanks to a special agreement just signed between the parties, Palermo undertakes to organize and manage free of charge an introductory football course for children (from 6 to 10 years old) and a football school for boys (from 11 to 16 years old) for the residents in the Municipality of Torretta, with at least two weekly meetings for each category. The agreement also provides for invitations to the stadium for the most deserving boys on the occasion of the home matches of the championship played by the rosanero first team. Other accesses will be reserved for disabled people and their companions. The Torretta school groups will have access to the Palermo Museum at the Barbera and connections will also be arranged which will facilitate the use of the new sports facility.
The new Palermo Calcio sports center thus integrates with the local area, opening up to the community, which enthusiastically welcomes the initiative: "We are giving our kids an extraordinary opportunity, giving them the chance to dream", declared the mayor of Torretta Damiano Scalici. "I sincerely hope that today represents the beginning of a period of growth and development of our territory thanks also to the dialogue and collaboration with the most important football club in our region".
