A fundraiser held by Maredolce, the NPO from Ficarra&Picone, Stefania Petix, and Pif: "A sign which we hope it arrives to so many"
Last Sunday at Barbera, Palermo players went down to the field for the match against Virtus Francavilla wearing a special t-shirt with the inscription "Peter Pan" instead of their own names. A gesture which did not go unnoticed. A symbolic act which supports legality, against criminal activities from the ones who burnt and destroyed the Peter Pan daycare in San Giovanni Apostolo neighbourhood on January 2nd in Palermo. Those t-shirts are now for auction on Ebay to raise funds for the reconstruction of the daycare, supporting the spontaneous initiative of so many people from every part of the city and country, next to the Palermo municipality, which has sent a public calling to the citizens.
For the occasion, in fact, Palermo has donated all the t-shirts worn during the match to Maredolce NPO, which gathers Ficarra&Picone, Stefania Petix, and Pif around solidarity projects especially dedicated to children. It's this association, already a Palermo official charity partner, which has arranged the fundraiser, in order to get as many resources as possible to give to the reconstruction project. Until the 27th of January it will be possible to participate in the auction to win the t-shirts worn by the players, thus contributing to the solidarity cause. For auction there are the only 23 t-shirts made for the occasion, those worn in the pitch and on the bench by Pelagotti, Valente, Santana, Crivello, and all the other teammates. Unique pieces which are collection items available on Ebay under the profile "maredolceonlus".
