Palermo Sunrise, the original documentary that recounts the new course of Palermo FC, is exclusively available for free on DAZN from today, Friday 1st November.
On the occasion of the 124th anniversary of its foundation, the Rosanero club releases on the platform a medium-length film that starts from the rebirth in the summer of 2019, following bankruptcy, and arrives at the inauguration of the Palermo City Football Academy, the new Rosanero sports centre that is the result of the City Football Group model in terms of sports infrastructure. A crucial moment in the club’s history, exalted by the comparison with the difficult restart five years ago.
Holding the narrative strings is President Dario Mirri, with personal memories as a fan and grandson of Renzo Barbera. Embellishing the documentary are the exclusive testimonies of Legends such as Amauri, Javier Pastore and Mario Alberto Santana, plus that of Matteo Brunori. But also the unedited images and words from the visit of Ferran Soriano, CEO of the City Football Group, on the eve of the preliminary playoff round of the 2023/2024 season, as well as the interviews of Alberto Galassi, board member of the City Football Group and Palermo FC.
In addition to unpublished testimonies, the documentary also features historical images accompanying the memories of the champions and special contributions of the club’s most recent initiatives.
