To the stadium by bike. Thanks to the special agreement between Palermo F.C. and Amat, two steps from the Renzo Barbera stadium, the first safeguarded bicycle parking entirely dedicated to the Palermo fans is born. Starting from the match Palermo-Foggia on October 10th, it will be possible to go to the Stadium by bike and park it in a specific area designated to the initiative, in the vicinity of the “Pallone” (ex Stampa Center) in del Fonte Street, under the custory of the Amat staff. The bikes -whether they are private or from the bike sharing city service AmiGO, managed by Amat itself – will be able to be left in a safe area, and collected after the match. To access the service, it will only be necessary to go through the pre-filtering stations of del Fonte street, fitted with an entrance title to the event, and go straight to the bike parking, perfectly enclosed and with the appropriate signs. The cost is 2 euros for the entire duration of the match.
“The spirit of this new agreement between Amat and Palermo Calcio testifies the deep effort of the company to promote sustainable mobility around the city, and especially the bike sharing service AmiGO, contributing to the growth of sweet mobility culture.
From this perspective, the combination of Bikes and Sports expresses a broader concept of civic freedom which, thanks to the aforementioned agreement, is put into practice for the benefit of the collective”, stated Michele Cimino, President of Amat Palermo S.p.A.
“With this project, already forseen since the first three-year marketing plan of Palermo F.C. in 2019, we encourage the effort of the entire rosanero Club in the promotion of good social practices, paying close attention in this case to environmental sustainability and light mobility. It is an example of how the passion for the heart’s team can also become an opportunity to promote healthy values of cooperation and teamwork to achieve a common objective, in sports and in every day life”, stated Rinaldo Sagramola, CEO of Palermo F.C.
