Italian football is once again taking sides against any racial discrimination. In particular, Lega Serie B, always sensitive to social issues, adheres to the #UnitiDagliStessiColori campaign, promoted by the FIGC, renewing its commitment so that there is no more space for this unacceptable social scourge.
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and after the success of last year's campaign, all clubs in the Serie BKT, for the 32nd match day of the championship, will unite against racism to affirm that we are all equal, everyone with their own peculiarities.
The hashtag, which has now become iconic, echoes a whole series of activities that the Lega Serie B has prepared to convey as many anti-discrimination messages as possible, such as posts on social networks, banners on the pitch during the entrance of the players, speaker messages and videos on big screens.
"No more racism - federal president Gabriele Gravina declares - we must never get tired of repeating it, so that our civil society and the world of sport, football in particular, can finally free themselves from any form of discrimination. Every insult and every violence represent a painful wound inflicted on the heart of our Community. Together with all the football stakeholders, whom I thank for their sensitivity, we promote the values of friendship, acceptance and joy which represent the profound identity of the game of football".
“Once again this year Lega Serie B is joining the #UnitiDagliStessiColori campaign, - president Mauro Balata highlights - which sees us on the front line together with the FIGC and the entire Italian football system to affirm our 'no' to racism with conviction. Our Lega is a big family and, as such, it advocates fundamental values such as respect and equality, while at the same time firmly rejecting any form of discrimination. We are the Championship of Italian people, we represent the territories and all the communities of fans and enthusiasts who, like us, love football as a vehicle of healthy social inclusion that embraces and welcomes without any distinction".
The campaign - through the use of the CMYK four-colour process (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), the #UnitiDagliStessiColori concept symbolizes the various ethnic groups, making use of primary colors to demonstrate how each skin type has the same origin and is, as a matter of fact, the result of the combination of the same colors.
