The President of Palermo, Dario Mirri, has been inserted today by the Board of Directors of Lega Pro as one of the members of the newly constituted Commission of Group's Reform. Along his name, for group C, also the President of Monopoli Alessandro Laricchia, as well as Michael Gandler (Como) and Andrea Bargagna (Pontedera) for group A, and Augusto Patrignani (Cesena) and Roberto Cesati (Modena) for group B.
It's about the first Board of Directors' meeting after its creation, which took place on January 12th in the Elective Assembly of Lega Pro, the only one among the football leagues which has elected the entire governance in presence. The sharing about the strategic objectives for the next four-year period has been vast, with special emphasis on economic-financial sustainability. In particular, president Ghirelli focused on the measures Lega Pro has asked the Government, beginning with the extension of the tax credit on sponsorships to 2021 with a budget of more than 90 million euros. Among the other measures, an insurance fund for health expenses held by teams from Serie C during the pandemic, and liquidity interventions with financing provided by the Institute of Sport's Credit.
