On December 7th and 8th the inaugural solidarity event born from the collaboration between Maredolce and Palermo FC will take place. On the 7th the Christmas lights will be switched on with Stefania Petyx and the Palermo players, on the 8th the solidarity bingo with comedians Stefano Piazza and Chris Clun
For the first time ever, the square of the Renzo Barbera stadium in Palermo will host a Christmas tree, set up by Palermo FC and linked to a solidarity initiative in collaboration with the volunteers of the Onlus Maredolce, Palermo's official charity partner, founded by Ficarra and Picone and also supported by Stefania Petyx, Pif and many others.
It is a special tree, unfailingly decorated in pink and black colours, which arrived on purpose from Trentino Alto Adige and is more than five meters tall, which will adorn the square of the stadium throughout the Christmas period. To decorate it, there will be the good deeds of fans and ordinary citizens who decide to join Maredolce's fundraising in support of the young guests of the Palermitan family homes, a refuge for hundreds of people in economic and social difficulty.
On December 7th from 16 to 19.30 and on 8 December from 9.30 to 13, anyone will be allowed to go to the square of the stadium and contribute to the fundraising by donating the amount of their choice. But whoever donates at least ten euros will "unlock" a pair of pink Christmas balls, an official limited edition Palermo product: one can be taken home as a souvenir and the other will go directly to adorn the tree. In this way, after the collection of 7th and 8th December, on December 9th the tree will be filled with all the balls resulting from the generous donations of citizens to the Maredolce cause, to which Palermo F.C. will also contribute directly. December 8th the above will be allowed in the afternoon, between 6 and 10 pm, in conjunction with the Palermo VS Como home match, but in this case access is guaranteed only to holders of titles for access to the stands.
To better promote the initiative, on December 7th at 6 pm the collection will symbolically be started by Stefania Petyx together with some Palermo players, who will together turn on the lights of the tree still to be filled with balls and will personally deliver the Palermo balls to the first donors.
The appointments continue on December 8th at 11.30, when comedians and influencers (as well as great Palermo fans) Stefano Piazza and Chris Clun will lead a fun bingo in the square, always at the foot of the tree, with special Palermo FC prizes up for grabs. including official team clothing, Palermo Museum tickets and, as first prize, a VIP experience in the central grandstand with catering and hospitality in one of Palermo's upcoming home games.
